When and how can I cancel my health or dental insurance coverage?

In the Individual & Family marketplace, if you need to end your health insurance or dental coverage — for example, you get a new job that offers coverage — you can do so any time during the year.

To end your coverage, login to your account at, or call DC Health Link at (855) 532-5465. You’ll also need to contact your insurance company directly to discuss any remaining balance or refund due.

If you get your health or dental insurance through an employer, you’ll need to make the request directly through your employer.
