UPO 2nd Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service

Jan 19, 10:00am to 2:00pm
Petey Green Community Center
2907 Martin Luther King, Jr. Avenue, SE
During the week of January 18 – 24, 2015, DC Health Link in conjunction with various community organizations will place emphasis on the importance of African Americans, especially men, enrolling in quality affordable health insurance through DC Health Link. With just 4 weeks left to the February 15th deadline to sign up for 2015 coverage, DC Health Link will accelerate its outreach efforts to this population. Multiple events have been planned for this week to educate the African Americans about the benefits to enrolling in health insurance coverage. Community leaders will be briefed on the vitally important role they can play in reaching and educating individuals and families about the important benefits of the Affordable Care Act, the health insurance options through DC Health link, available financial resources to help pay plan premiums and expert enrollment support. Information about in-person help needed to enroll and make the best decisions for themselves and their families will be discussed.
